Translation
A contemporary English rendering follows the actual words and legal structure, without quietly turning translation into commentary.
Elucidation
A separate line explains what the sentence means, supplies missing context, and clarifies why the distinction matters.

Optional panels present classic mefarshim and later halachic discussion. Each panel identifies the sources on which it is based.
Editorial method
The translation and elucidation are independently prepared for this project. The Hebrew is checked against the supplied Mishneh Torah text. Explanatory material is separated visually from translation so a reader can always tell what the Rambam says and what has been added to explain it.
Modern equivalents for Torah measurements are approximate. When recognized authorities calculate a shiur differently, the range and its basis are shown. Monetary equivalents are tied to silver and naturally change over time.
Corrections and review
Accuracy matters. Each chapter includes a “Report something unclear” button near the sources panel. It automatically adds the chapter and halachah, then lets the reader share a structured report without the site collecting a name or email.
Word-by-word Hebrew information is being reviewed gradually. Verified meanings and grammatical details are added chapter by chapter; uncertain roots or prefixes are not presented as established facts.
